Shrink Film & Systems
Four Star Plastics offers Shrink Film & Systems for all your bundling applications and packaging protection needs. Shrink Film is normally used to wrap products together on a pallet or tightly combine small items and protect contents from outside elements.
A lot of people get confused between Shrink Film and Stretch Wrap. Stretch wrap is a stretchable plastic film that is used to wrap or hold loads and products on a pallet together. Our heavy duty shrink bags are aimed to provide a tight fitting protective cover after heat is applied. We have two different types of shrink film available: PVC shrink film and Polyolefin shrink film. PVC stands for Polyvinyl chloride and is most commonly used for CD and DVD case packaging and packaging boxes. PVC film works well with automated machines, however, proper ventilation is required when heating PVC shrink wrap.
Polyolefin Shrink Film has become the preferred choice for shrink film because of its stronger seal and flexible storage. Polyolefin does not contain any chloride and does not harden and soften like PVC shrink film.
We also offer Shrink Wrap Systems as an all in one system that dispenses film, heat seals, and shrinks films to the exact size of your product.
